BIO
SB Campisi was born and raised in southern Maine.
Their first by-line was a 20+ page fairy tale in elementary school, but their first official writing credit came in 2012 for the local newspaper where they became a regular contributor.
SB became an active youth member of Portland, Maine's spoken word poetry scene, Port Veritas, when they began navigating mental health challenges. They see poetry as a means of expression, understanding, and survival.
SB completed a BA in Creative Writing at Lesley University in 2018 with minors in Women & Gender Studies and Drama, with intern reporting experience at Cambridge Community Television.
Their poetry has been published in "Nixes Mate Review" and "Crab Fat Magazine."
After solo-traveling to Spain, SB met their fiance and has since moved to Barcelona, where they can be found rock climbing, sunbathing, and drafting their first poetry collection, "From Here, Forward."
